Ingredients
- 8-10 oz. 58% Belgian chocolate
- 1/2 cup dried fruit or freeze dried fruit such as strawberries
- 1/2 cup pistachios
Instructions
- Line a large baking sheet or flat tray with foil
- Melt 3/4 of the chocolate chips in the microwave on high for 30 seconds
- Stir the chocolate then put back in microwave to melt again in 15 second intervals until melted (typically 2 more times)
- Then remove from the microwave and stir in the other 1/4 chocolate chips into the melted chocolate
- Keep stirring vigorously until all chips are melted
- Use a tablespoon or large spoon to drop a circle of chocolate onto the foil lined pan
- Use a spatula or another spoon to lightly smooth the chocolate to make a uniform circle
- Lightly sprinkle the dried fruit and nuts onto each circle of chocolate
- Cool on the counter until the chocolate has hardened or looks glossy
BEVERLY'S CHOCOLATE NOTE:
For the best results, the room temperature should be at 70F or below so that the chocolate will properly temper. Two of my favorite chocolates to use are Valrhona feve's and Callebaut. Find Valrhona Premium Caraibe 66% Cacao Grand Cru Blend orΒ Callebaut 511 (54.5%) chocolate chips.Β Β
