Nougat Center:

Caramel Peanut Topping:

  • 3/4 cup of Trader Joe’s Salted Caramel Sauce (or other store bought jar)

Add sauce to a micowave safe bowl and heat for about 15 seconds on 80%, then stir in roasted peanuts

Chocolate Sauce:

Melt 6-8 ounces of semi-sweet chocolate in microwave and drizzle over cooled cookies (

Instructions:

Soften butter to room temp  Beat butter and sugars until a creamy light texture forms.

Add the egg and vanilla. Mix until smooth.

Add flour, salt, baking soda and baking powder.

Mix only until the flour is just blended, don’t over mix.

Stir in the chocolates.

Form into balls about 3.5 ounces each. Place on a sheet of foil lined tray or foil casserole tray with lid. Place dough balls in freezer or refrigerator for at least 2 hours to chill.

When ready to bake preheat oven to 415°F and bake for 13 minutes or until brown around edges.  I use stainless steel cake rings for an even circle.

After removing from oven, let cookies cool about 15 minutes, then make a circular indention in middle of each cookie for the nougat center.

Use a small cookie scoop or a small spoonful of the nougat and place in each indention.

Allow cookies to cool about another 10 minutes, then drizzle a spoonful of the caramel peanut sauce over each cookie.

Let that sit to cool down for about another 5-10 minutes.

Drizzle melted chocolate over each cookie. Top with a half or whole snickers.

Pro tip:

I use cookie rings to make the cookies have a nice even round shape.  Find here: Stainless Steel Cookie Rings
